This Spring, DeLay Middle School will host a 24 Hour World Tour from March 12th-March 13th (11am Thursday -11am Friday). We want to provide opportunities for our students to interact with people from various areas of interest (examples include: museums, travel destinations, parks, military, businesses, art, teachers, students, laboratories, family/friends abroad, etc.) We plan to virtually talk to one place each hour. The goal is to talk to all seven continents and have 24 digital conversations (Skype, Facetime, Zoom, etc.). Conversations generally run approximately 20-40 minutes. Our group of 20-25 students will consist of 7th and 8th graders.
The DeLay World Tour will promote the use of various means of learning through activities designed to provide opportunities for students to blog, tweet, use maps, communicate, and collaborate.
If you wish to participate, please fill out the link to the provided Google Form. If you prefer to email, feel free to contact us.

This Spring DeLay Middle School will host a 24 Hour World Tour and our team of students will attempt to contact people on each of the 7 continents. We are interested in providing opportunities for our students to interact with people around the world using a variety of platforms (Skype, Zoom, Facetime, etc.) As our kids travel the world digitally and virtually, we will share our experiences through our blog and Twitter #DeLayWorldJourney. We hope you can join us!
